For Spring Break this we we headed to Sri Lanka for an ambitious tour of the southern part of the island country. We started in Colombo (technically Negombo), drove to Kandy seeing some elephants along the way, took the train to Nuwara Eliya and toured tea plantations, hiked in amazingly scenic Ella, safaried in Udawalawe National Park, hit the beach in Mirissa where the boys learned to surf, and toured historic Galle. To read about all these adventures, head on over to Sri Lanka 2017!
Derek and I attended our second ACS PTA Gala this weekend. Before the event, we hosted a happy hour for several of our colleagues which was great fun. Derek had to work the first part of the event to help gather support for the proposed STEAM lab, but the rest of the evening was ours for a nice dinner, good conversation, and a little bit of dancing.
While I tend to be a bit of an introvert, I do enjoy getting dressed up and going out with Derek and our friends every once in a while!
