Last weekend we took a day trip up to Dubai to do a little shopping. We are working really hard to make our apartment feel like a home this go around, so we needed to purchase a few light fixtures. Nothing says apartment living like a light bulb on the ceiling. We looked around Abu Dhabi, but found only two types of light fixtures: super expensive or gold and sparkly. As neither are really our style, we decided to have a peek at the Dragon Mart in Dubai.
On our way to Dragon Mart, we stopped for lunch at Last Exit, a street food truck park. This restaurant, or series of restaurants is incredible. So many choices! All of the details are based on old American diners and drive ins. I can't wait to bring may parents here in December!
Dragon Mart was summed up nicely by Owen. He gave the mall 3 stars noting that "It's way better than Binh Tahn Market, but not nearly as nice as Dubai Mall." That kid... I thought it was clean and well organized, but parking was a little rough. We were able to find everything we needed at very reasonable prices (after a bit of negotiation). I would love to go back to explore more--but without the kids. Shopping isn't exactly their idea of a great time.
