Oh, Colorado! How I have missed you! After nearly 37 hours of travel, we finally made it "home" to Colorful Colorado. In the few days we have been here, we have done nothing besides visit with family and friends and play outside. The air here is pretty thin, but, boy oh boy, is it clean!
The reverse culture shock hasn't been as bad so far this year. The kids are still uncomfortable wearing shoes inside the house, but that isn't such a bad thing! We were very happy to go to the grocery store and to drink tap water. It's the little things in life, you know?
We are having a blast being around family--we finally got to meet our adorable niece!!! She is a very good baby and simply adores the boys. They are both quite taken with her too! We are having lots of fun and enjoying the familiarity of our home state. The boys have really loved playing in my parents' backyard. They even ambushed Opa and Derek with water balloons after they came back from the store one evening! (They may have had some help from me...)
Opa retaliated the next day as we drove up the driveway. The whole family was drenched two days in a row!
It is nice to be home, and we are making sure to make the most out of every minute that we have!
