The wet shirt and hat didn't last long for Oliver in the heat, but at least it helped keep him cool as we walked to the Pantheon. The Pantheon is another one of those buildings in Rome that have a way of connecting you to the past. The architecture of this building is mind blowing.
Owen found it fascinating to learn that Raphael was entombed in the Pantheon. Oliver liked the water fountain with the obelisk as he had another chance to cool off. They both liked the gelato shop...
Last for the day was a glimpse of the Spanish Steps. The steps are currently closed for repair and renovation, but the boys still had fun... playing in the fountain.
With the Sistine Chapel in the morning and touring around Rome in the afternoon, we had one very busy day. It was great to see so much of the city, and I am so proud of how well the dudes do traveling.
